IKEA Australia & New Zealand is seeking a Country Data Privacy Specialist to embed privacy by design and strengthen privacy practices across the region. You will partner with stakeholders to deliver privacy initiatives and ensure compliance with steering documents and local legislation.

In this role you will lead privacy efforts, educate teams through awareness sessions, and stay ahead of new privacy trends.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in data privacy, compliance, risk, governance, legal, information security or related field.
• Proven ability to lead change, drive adoption, and influence stakeholders across a complex organisation.
• Knowledge of Australian and New Zealand privacy legislation, controls and practical application in a business environment.
• Experience partnering with diverse stakeholders to embed privacy requirements and influence a culture of privacy and accountability.
• Strong communication skills, with ability to translate complex privacy concepts into practical business outcomes.
• Ability to demonstrate a risk-based approach to decisions concerning information security and data privacy.
• Knowledge of risk management processes, including risk assessments and advising on IT mitigating controls.
• Experience with data privacy platforms (e.g., OneTrust) is useful but not essential.

Aufgaben

• Guides and executes operational requirements and activities essential for upholding our data privacy strategy.
• Conducts privacy assessments to identify requirements for new and existing solutions, processes, and data management activities.
• Manages local suppliers through their full lifecycle, from selection to ongoing monitoring, ensuring adherence to data privacy standards.
• Leads collaborative efforts with business partners to foster data privacy maturity and governance across the organisation.
• Provides expert guidance on daily data privacy issues, ensuring compliance with steering documents and local legislation.
• Develops and facilitates engaging data privacy awareness and training sessions.
• Proactively manages notifiable data privacy breaches and communicates with regulators.
• Maintains and improves privacy processes, systems, and frameworks to strengthen compliance and business outcomes.
• Stays current with emerging trends and changes in data privacy legislation.
