Job summary

Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet is seeking an Aurion System Administrator to manage the HRIS (Aurion) for the department. You will work in a small team to ensure payroll processing, reporting and system maintenance meet regulatory and policy requirements.

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated Aurion administration experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to mentor staff while engaging with stakeholders to drive improvements and maintain security standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as an Aurion systems administrator with strong Aurion technical skills.
• Experience applying pay and conditions of service policies and procedures.
• Proven ability to mentor staff in Aurion technical capability.
• Ability to engage with staff, clients and stakeholders to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain the Aurion system to comply with legislation, policies and guidelines.
• Run the fortnightly pay run and reconcile payroll for accuracy.
• Maintain organisation structure and position data.
• Upload payroll files via banking software.
• Develop and deliver regular and ad hoc reports using Aurion Query Tool and other tools.
• Test and implement upgrades and IT integrations with stakeholders.
• Maintain system controls for security and conduct regular reviews.
• Create and maintain SOPs, checklists and staff notices.
• Collaborate with colleagues to prioritise payroll and Aurion projects.
• Assist staff with Aurion-related queries.
