Richie Bros in Melbourne is seeking a dependable Yard Associate to support vehicle intake, preparation and movement on the lot. You will perform light maintenance, operate forklifts if trained, and ensure vehicles are clean and documented for auction.

You will follow safety rules, work in varying conditions, and assist visitors with directions. This role requires teamwork and reliable attendance in a fast-paced auction environment.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle check-in by recording and filing information on incoming vehicles.
• Detail (thoroughly clean) vehicles to improve their appearance for auction value.
• Operate passenger vehicles safely to move them around the facility.
• Numbering, preparation and setup for weekly/biweekly auction.
• Recover keys, license plates, and store them appropriately.
• Assist visitors by guiding them to the right person for assistance.
• Perform basic forklift/loader operation.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety rules.
• Read and understand safety and maintenance documents to ensure safety compliance.
• Remain alert to hazards with heavy equipment and vehicles.
• Meet daily/weekly/monthly performance goals.
• Capable of learning to operate a forklift where not required.
• Interact effectively with customers and towers.
• Capable of light vehicle maintenance.
