Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited is seeking an Attendant - Handyperson to perform grounds, maintenance and related duties at a Defence living-in accommodation site near Robertson Barracks. The role is Monday to Friday with no weekends or night shifts, offering career growth and stability.

You will handle gardening tasks, basic building maintenance and cleaning, ensuring safety compliance and high standards. Australian Citizenship and a current driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and capable of manual tasks.
• Good work ethic and ability to learn new tasks.
• Experience in general handyperson/grounds work is advantageous.
• Good communication skills with a flexible approach.
• Follow work safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform grounds and gardens maintenance including landscaping, cleaning and general upkeep.
• Garden care: spray, whipper snipper, mowing.
• Operate general maintenance and grounds equipment; manage chemical handling.
• Respond to service requests for building maintenance; assist with specialised cleaning as required.

LEAP is a Defence project for the supply and operation of living-in accommodation for single members of the Australian Defence Force. The Position

• General Groundsperson/Handyperson duties (Grounds and gardens maintenance, laundry, office and public spaces)


• Garden Care - spray/whipper snipper/mowing


• Competent in operating general maintenance and grounds equipment and chemical handling


• Responding to service requests for building maintenance


• Specialised cleaning where required

• General handyperson/ grounds work in hotel style accommodation would be highly advantageous
