Job summary

St Kilda Football Club is seeking a Player Development Manager to lead holistic player development and wellbeing programs across our AFL and VFL men’s football programs. The role is based at RSEA Park, Moorabbin, full-time, reporting to the General Manager Football.

You will help players build personal capability, resilience and independence, pursue education and career opportunities, and navigate transitions of elite football.

Qualifications

• Experience in player development, athlete welfare or related role.
• Experience in elite sport or high-performance environments.
• Ability to design and deliver education, personal development and wellbeing programs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and record-keeping.
• Collaborative and adaptable mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead player onboarding and integration across AFL and VFL programs.
• Support welfare and wellbeing, coordinate individualized support.
• Deliver personal development and education through Individual Development Plans.
• Strengthen engagement, culture and connection with players and families.
• Build career pathways and support transitions for players.
• Lead partnerships with education providers, employers and AFLPA.
