Arlec is a leading Australian-owned company with a portfolio of well-known brands across electrical, lighting, hardware and consumer products. Our products are found in homes across Australia and New Zealand and sold through some of the region's largest retailers.

We are looking for an Associate Product Manager to join our Product team and help develop the next generation of products across our growing portfolio.

This is a hands-on role sitting at the intersection of product, design, engineering and commercial strategy. You'll work with our Product Managers, designers, engineers and international manufacturing partners to help take products from an initial idea through development, refinement, packaging and ultimately to market.

It's an ideal opportunity for an Electrical or Electronic Engineering graduate, or someone early in their product career, who has a strong eye for design and wants to be involved in creating products rather than working in a purely technical engineering role.

About the Role

Assist with new product development from initial concept through to production and launch.

About You

We're looking for someone who is naturally curious about how products look, work and could be made better.

You may find yourself looking at a product and thinking about how you would change the design, improve the user experience, add a feature or make it more commercially appealing.

You'll ideally bring:

A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field.

A genuine interest in product design, technology and consumer products.

Strong visual awareness and excellent attention to detail with an appreciation for good product and packaging design.

Confidence using Excel and PowerPoint and strong analytical and numerical skills.

The ability to communicate ideas clearly with designers, engineers, suppliers and commercial teams.

Previous product development, design, engineering or manufacturing experience would be advantageous, but we're equally interested in strong graduates with the right mindset and potential.
