Job summary

ARB 4x4 Accessories is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to lead the development of adventure and outdoor living products from concept to production. You will own major programs, ensuring functionality, durability, safety and performance while collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Product Management.

You will mentor engineers, provide technical leadership, and drive engineering excellence across the business in a global organisation based at Kilsyth.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years' experience in product development across outdoor/engineered products.
• Ownership of major development programs from concept to production.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials and validation.
• Experience in DFA/DFM and risk assessment.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and mentoring engineers.
• Experience in automotive, RV or outdoor living industries preferred.

Based at our Kilsyth headquarters, our Engineering team develops market-leading products that help customers explore, travel and live comfortably in some of the world's most demanding environments.

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Product Development Engineer to join our Exterior Team.

Role Overview

In this senior engineering role, you will lead the development of innovative adventure, touring, habitation and outdoor living products that extend vehicle capability beyond transportation. Working across the full product development lifecycle, you will take ownership of major engineering programs from concept through to production release, ensuring products meet customer expectations for functionality, durability, reliability, safety and performance.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Product Management while providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers and driving engineering excellence across the business.

About You

• Degree qualified engineer with 8-15 years' experience in product development across outdoor living, habitation, consumer, automotive or similar engineered product environments.
• Proven experience delivering complex products from concept through to production, including ownership of major development programs.
• Advanced understanding of mechanical systems, structures, mechanisms, materials and product validation methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), risk assessment and engineering best practice.
• Experience interpreting test data, resolving complex engineering challenges and balancing technical trade-offs to achieve optimal product outcomes.
• Demonstrated capability leading technical projects, collaborating with stakeholders and influencing cross-functional teams.
• Experience developing and sustaining engineering processes
• Strong communication skills with experience mentoring and developing engineers.
• Experience within automotive, recreational vehicle (RV), outdoor living, consumer products or related industries will be highly regarded.
