Job summary

Veracross is seeking an Associate Product Manager to support product management from discovery to launch, collaborating with cross-functional teams across education technology. This 12-month fixed-term role is hybrid, with one day per week at the Gold Coast office, and reports to the Director of Product Management.

You will conduct market research, help draft roadmaps, write user stories, and assist in delivering high-quality digital products that serve K-12 schools globally.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Product Management or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 0–2 years of commercial experience in a product, technology, or related environment.
• Customer-oriented and solution-focused mindset.
• Solid understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
• High empathy demonstrated through active listening and understanding customer needs.
• Strong execution focus with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across diverse audiences.
• Flexible team player able to collaborate with all business functions and gain stakeholder buy-in.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Basecamp, Slack.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and development teams to define product requirements and specifications.
• Conduct market research and user interviews to inform product decisions.
• Assist in creating product roadmaps and prioritise features based on user needs and business goals.
• Support the development team during the implementation phase and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with product development teams to realise concepts, write stories and acceptance criteria, and conduct UAT.
• Partner across product teams to ensure successful implementation of platform-level features.
• Promote autonomy, transparency, and teamwork while remaining customer focused.
• Translate product features into customer benefits and assist marketing with messaging and positioning.
• Build relationships and drive on-time delivery, high quality, and ongoing innovation.
• Track results, provide insights, and recommend improvements to customer experience and ROI.
• Work closely with Sales, Support, and Customer Success to align product strategies.
