Job summary

Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) in Sydney seeks a Pipeline TD to develop and maintain CG pipeline tools, supporting artists and streamlining production workflows. You will take daily priorities from Show CG Supervisors and mentor guidance from the Pipeline TD Manager.

The role requires 0–2 years in VFX/animation, Python proficiency, and experience with Maya, Nuke, Houdini, Katana, or USD. Collaboration across global ILM studios is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining tools for computer graphics workflows.
• 0–2 years production experience in visual effects or animation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and document pipeline tools and scripts to meet show demands and standards.
• Provide front-line support for artists and troubleshoot issues in production workflows; escalate when needed.
• Test updates and validate workflows in production, coordinating with Engineering for deployment.
• Collaborate with artists, production supervisors, and technical staff across ILM locations on show work and pipeline improvements.
• Take direction from Show Supervisors and Leads to set daily priorities and expand knowledge of core pipeline systems.
