Job summary

Southern Adelaide Local Health Network's Flinders Medical Centre is seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to lead the Anaesthetics team. The role reports to the Nurse Unit Manager and focuses on clinical leadership, staff development, and high-quality patient care within a busy surgical service.

The role requires registration with NMBA, at least 3 years post-registration experience, and demonstrated anaesthetic nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be registered or eligible for NMBA registration.
• Minimum of 3 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience.
• Demonstrated competence in anaesthetic nursing practice and leadership.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet timelines.
• Additional qualifications relevant to practice setting are advantageous.
• Previous Associate Nurse Unit Manager experience is preferred but not essential.

• Budget preparation, monitoring and reporting and adherence to resources allocations.

We are looking for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our Anaesthetic Team at Flinders Medical Centre!

The Anaesthesia Department provides anaesthesia services for most of the divisions at Flinders Medical Centre (FMC). The expertise required of the staff is broader ranging than in any other hospital in South Australia. It includes all surgical specialties, obstetrics, neonatal surgery, liver transplant, cardiac surgery, paediatric surgery and major trauma.

About the role:

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, some of your duties as the Associate Nurse Unit Manager may involve:

• Additional qualifications relevant to practice setting is advantageous.
• Previous experience as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager preferred, but not essential
