Job summary

Talent X in Sydney is seeking an excellent lawyer with 2-4 years PAE in litigation to join a growing team and make a tangible impact within their niche. You will handle briefs, prepare evidence and draft advice, appearing in courts and NCAT and instructing counsel in larger matters.

The Principal builds lawyers who think commercially, you will run your own matters with minimal micromanagement, and gain real support from a team of juniors and paralegals as the firm grows.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years PAE in litigation.
• Able to run own matters with some supervision.
• Experience across briefs, evidence and directions hearings.

Responsibilities

• Work on briefs, prepare evidence and draft advice.
• Appear in courts and NCAT and instruct counsel in larger matters.
• Run your own matters with support from a team of juniors and paralegals.
• Contribute to the firm's growth and manage day-to-day file handling.

The Principal built their reputation training lawyers to think commercially, not just technically.

You'll run your own matters. You won't be micromanaged. But if you get stuck, there's real support offered to you. You also have team of junior lawyers and paralegals to assist you with the day to day management of the files.

The role:

• Full-time, 9-5, CBD office, WFH once you're up to speed
• Litigation experience required: briefs, evidence, directions hearings
• Strata law experience preferred, not essential - training provided for the right lawyer
• Experience in general contract disputes, building and construction law, environmental planning law or bankruptcy are useful but not essential for the role
