Job summary

Syndeticom in Sydney is seeking a motivated university graduate for a Junior Project Engineer role within our Data Centre team. You will support the Project Management team in converting concept projects into actionable plans, coordinate design, installation and completion tasks, and help manage project documentation.

Qualifications

• Completed or about to complete a locally acquired degree in Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across levels of the organisation.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in using Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to support PM and assist with project admin tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist PM in turning concept projects into actionable plans with documented processes.
• Provide administrative support during design, installation and completion phases.
• Maintain effective communication between clients, PM team and installation teams.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, timelines and quality.
• Contribute to project documentation, reports and schedules.
• Participate in project meetings and capture action items.
• Develop intermediate Excel and Office skills for project data management.

As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Project Management team in the execution of concept projects, design phases, installations, and completion tasks within the fields of Telecommunications, Data Centre, Engineering, and Electrical industries. Your role:

Collaborate closely with the Project Management team to assist in the conversion of concept projects into actionable plans via formalised methods, documented processes and strategic actions.

Provide administrative support throughout the design, installation, and completion phases of projects.

Maintain effective communication channels between project stakeholders (including clients, internal project management team and technical install team, ensuring efficient flow of information.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.

Contribute to project documentation, including reports, progress updates, and project schedules.

Participate in project meetings, contributing insights and capturing action items.

Develop intermediate-level skills in Excel and Microsoft Office to facilitate project data management and reporting.

Continuously enhance your understanding of project management processes, industry standards, and best practices.

Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in navigating change and ambiguity.

About you:

Completed or about to complete a locally acquired degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering Degree.
