Job summary

Lowitja Institute is Australia’s only national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled health research institute. This senior leadership role will set policy direction and guide research-to-policy impact, shaping national outcomes.

You will lead a six-person team, oversee a growing consulting arm covering policy, evaluation, facilitation and training, and manage the end-to-end GLOWS grant program in collaboration with partners and funders.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior experience in policy, advocacy or consulting in health or not-for-profit sectors.
• Ability to advise the CEO and senior leadership on policy developments and priorities.
• Experience designing and delivering consulting services, scoping proposals and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead policy analysis and advocacy, including positions, submissions and briefs.
• Advise the CEO on policy developments, priorities, opportunities and risks.
• Design and deliver consulting services from scoping to delivery and contracts.
