Job summary

AECOM Australia Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking an Associate Director - Electrical Engineer to lead medium‑voltage design and delivery for utility‑scale wind, solar, BESS and hybrid projects. You will drive design bases, equipment ratings, and protection philosophies, overseeing calculations, models, drawings and procurement with clear client communication.

Qualifications

12+ years designing and leading medium‑voltage electrical systems across project stages.
Experience in utilities, industrial power systems or renewable projects is highly regarded.
Strong ownership of complex electrical design packages and client communication.

Responsibilities

Lead MV design for collector networks, substations and grid interfaces.
Develop design bases, single-line diagrams, and equipment ratings.
Review protection philosophies, relay settings and commissioning plans.
Mentor engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary inputs across procurement, construction and testing.
