Job summary

AECOM Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an Associate Director - Contract Administrator (CAO1) to lead the administration of major road infrastructure contracts on-site in Queensland. You will guide contract execution, ensure compliance with Department of Transport and Main Roads standards, and manage a multidisciplinary team including engineers and external advisors.

The role emphasizes ensuring project quality, cost control, safety, and timely delivery, with strong liaison across government bodies,

Qualifications

• Degree/certification in Civil Engineering or equivalent accepted by Engineers Australia as full member.
• Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
• Minimum six years of experience in administration of road infrastructure contracts.
• Minimum seven years postgraduate experience in contract administration, construction, maintenance or design of road projects.

Responsibilities

• Establish and administer major government road contracts to meet quality, time and cost requirements.
• Act as Administrator, Administrator’s Representative or Principal’s Representative Agent per standards and contracts.
• Coordinate with project, technical and operational staff and external authorities.
• Monitor quality, safety and environmental issues; contribute to quality management procedures.
