Job summary

Beca in Australia seeks an Associate Civil Engineer to join our NSW team. You will manage and deliver defence civil projects, coordinate multidisciplinary work, and mentor junior engineers.

We foster an open, collaborative culture with opportunities to lead workflow improvements, pursue business opportunities, and contribute to transport sector initiatives. A Chartered or Engineering Technologist with Defence experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified engineer (CPEng) or Engineering Technologist with Engineers Australia membership.
• Civil engineering experience from a consulting environment.
• Strong links to the Australian Defence sector.

Responsibilities

• Design management, project management and coordination of multidisciplinary defence civil projects.
• Developing workflow processes from feasibility to detailed design.
• Providing coaching and mentoring to junior team members.
• Business development from opportunity identification to securing projects with clients and industry partners.
• Participation in the transport leadership group to shape strategy and respond to market needs.
