Lockton in Perth is seeking an Associate in our ProExec team, offering a flexible hybrid environment. You will support large corporate clients and help draft submissions, renewals, and strategies, while liaising with senior clients and underwriters.

Responsibilities

• Support the team on larger corporate clients.
• Assist Manager with client inquiries and research for client needs.
• Draft underwriter submissions and evaluate quotations reflecting client needs.
• Prepare renewal strategies, reports, and certificates of currency.
• Conduct research to identify and evaluate opportunities for clients.
• Support the Perth office in servicing the client portfolio.
• Assist with smaller professional and executive risk placements as needed.

What will you be doing?

• Support the team on our larger corporate clients.
• Support Manager in liaising with clients on their existing insurance programs and generally assist with their queries, providing extensive research for client needs.
• Draft comprehensive underwriter submissions, engage proactively and professionally with underwriters, evaluate quotations, and ensure every recommendation reflects the needs of your clients.
• Draft and prepare renewal strategies, renewal reports, quotations, Certificates of Currency, new business reports and quotations.
• Conduct in-depth research to identify and evaluate opportunities.
• Support Manager and broader team in servicing the existing portfolio of clients.
• Assist the broader Perth office where required in managing smaller professional and executive risk placements.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• To be a self-starter with strong organisation skills
• To be presentable, confident and professional as the role will require you to liaise with senior clients on behalf of our business.
• The ability to drive change and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Interpersonal skills to build relationships and liaise with clients, the team, and senior management.

You will need the following experience and qualifications:

• Hold a degree qualification in Accounting, Business, Commerce or Law (essential).
• Tier 1 qualification in Insurance Broking
• Have at least 1-3 years of experience in the insurance/broking industry
• Understanding of invoicing procedures and file management
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel for reporting
• Knowledge of broking systems such as WinBEAT is a desirable
• Knowledge of business package insurance is desirable
