Job summary

Studio 103, an award-winning interior design practice in Brisbane, is seeking an Associate to join its Interior Design Team. You will be a key leader responsible for driving successful project delivery while guiding high-performing design teams.

Working with the Design Director, you will oversee multiple projects from concept to completion, mentor designers, manage client relationships, and contribute to studio growth and evolving design standards.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years' experience in a senior interior design position across commercial, workplace, retail, hospitality and/or residential sectors.
  • Experience leading project teams and delivering complex design projects.
  • Strong people leadership skills with mentoring ability.
  • Commercially minded with experience managing budgets, resources and client expectations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office 365.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for design excellence and growth.

Responsibilities

Job description

Studio 103 is an award-winning interior design practice specialising in commercial interiors, with additional experience across retail, government, residential and hospitality. Since 2013, we’ve built a reputation for fresh, sophisticated design that engages and inspires the people who use our spaces.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate to join our Interior Design Team in Brisbane.

As an Associate, you will be a key leader within Studio 103, responsible for driving the successful delivery of projects while leading and developing high-performing design teams. Working closely with the Design Director, you will oversee multiple projects, champion design excellence, foster strong client relationships, and contribute to the strategic growth of the studio.

This role combines design leadership, project oversight, people management, and business development, offering the opportunity to influence both project outcomes and the future direction of the studio.

This role reports directly to the Design Director and plays a critical role in mentoring team members, maintaining quality standards, and supporting Studio 103's continued success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee multiple projects from concept through to completion.

About You
  • Degree qualified in Interior Design or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years' experience in a senior interior design position across commercial, workplace, retail, hospitality and/or residential sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience leading project teams and delivering complex design projects.
  • Strong people leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing others.
  • Commercially minded with experience managing project budgets, resources and client expectations.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • A strategic thinker who is passionate about design excellence, business growth and team success.
