Job summary

The Treasury Bar & Lounge at InterContinental Sydney seeks an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to lead on-floor service, cocktails, wine and dining, delivering a memorable luxury guest experience.

Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will coach a high-performing team, oversee shifts from 3:00pm to 12:00am, ensure impeccable standards, manage training, rostering and cost controls while maintaining presentation and guest relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year's leadership or supervisory experience within a premium bar, restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine and bar service.
• A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and exceptional guest experiences.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Venue Manager.

The Role

Great luxury hospitality is about creating moments guests remember. As Assistant Venue Manager, you will play a hands-on leadership role in delivering an exceptional experience at The Treasury, combining sophisticated service, exceptional beverage knowledge and genuine connection with every guest.

Reporting to The Treasury Venue Manager, you will support the day-to-day operation of the venue while leading, coaching and developing the team to deliver consistently high standards across service, cocktails, wine and dining.

As our Assistant Venue Manager, you will:

What we need from you

You will be a confident and engaging hospitality leader with a genuine passion for luxury service, exceptional beverages and developing people.

You will also have:

• Minimum one year's leadership or supervisory experience within a premium bar, restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine and bar service.
• A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and exceptional guest experiences.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Immaculate presentation and grooming.
• Availability to work predominantly evening shifts, approximately 3:00pm to 12:00am.
• Current NSW RSA.
• Full unrestricted Australian working rights.
