Job summary

Oscars Group’s Horizon Sky Dining at Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise seeks a hands-on Assistant Venue Manager to lead day-to-day operations. You will drive service excellence, staff performance and guest experience while managing rostering, stock and cost controls on a busy signature venue.

You will mentor and develop the restaurant team, own operational standards, and collaborate with hotel leadership to deliver consistently high results and a positive culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in day-to-day operations of a Food & Beverage outlet.
• Experience in a 4- to 5-star hotel environment is essential.
• Proven experience leading a busy restaurant operation.
• Hands-on leadership style with a passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor and maintain exceptional service and presentation standards.
• Manage daily opening and closing procedures.

About the Venue

Located within Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise, Horizon Sky Dining is the hotel’s signature revolving buffet restaurant, offering guests a unique dining experience with panoramic views across the Gold Coast.

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Assistant Venue Manager to take primary responsibility for the day-to-day operation of Horizon Sky Dining.

While reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you will be the key operational leader within the venue, taking ownership of daily service, team performance, guest experience, training and development, labour management and overall restaurant performance.

This is a highly visible, hands‑on leadership role for an experienced restaurant professional who is confident leading from the floor and taking ownership of a busy operation. You’ll oversee opening and closing procedures, rostering, stock and beverage controls, guest recovery and maintaining consistently high operational standards.

You’ll also play an important role in developing and supporting the team, creating a positive culture and ensuring service standards are consistently delivered.

About You
