Job summary

Zurich is hiring for an Assistant Underwriter to join our General Insurance Underwriting team. You’ll gain exposure across multiple lines of business in a fast-paced, supportive environment and help keep workflows moving—from invoices and policies to endorsements and cancellations.

Qualifications

• Secondary education or equivalent.
• Insurance experience is a bonus — not essential.
• Confident responding to client and stakeholder enquiries.
• A customer-first mindset and clear communication style.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in underwriting tasks across multiple lines of business.
• Support brokers and customers with timely, accurate responses.
• Help manage invoices, policies, endorsements, and cancellations.
• Collaborate with Underwriters and Service Consultants to ensure service standards.
