Job summary

Zurich Australia is seeking an Assistant Underwriter to support our General Insurance Underwriting team. You’ll gain exposure across multiple lines of business in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, helping to move invoices, policies, endorsements and cancellations behind the scenes.

You’ll work closely with Underwriters and Service Consultants to deliver a seamless customer experience, meeting service standards and providing timely, accurate responses.

Qualifications

• Secondary education or equivalent.
• Insurance experience is a bonus — not essential.
• Confident responding to client and stakeholder enquiries.
• A customer-first mindset and clear communication style.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Join our General Insurance Underwriting team as an Assistant Underwriter and gain exposure across multiple lines of business in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
• Broadly expand underwriting knowledge and build strong relationships with brokers and customers.
• Help deliver a seamless experience for brokers, customers, and stakeholders — ensuring service standards are met and responses are accurate, timely and professional.
