Job summary

Zurich in Australia invites you to join the General Insurance Underwriting team as an Assistant Underwriter, gaining exposure across multiple lines of business in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

You will work closely with Underwriters and Service Consultants to deliver a seamless experience for brokers and customers, handling invoices, policies, endorsements and cancellations while building strong relationships.

Qualifications

• Secondary education or equivalent.
• Insurance industry experience is a bonus, not essential.
• Confident in responding to client and stakeholder inquiries.
• Customer-first mindset with clear communication.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, organized and comfortable in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Underwriters and Service Consultants to deliver a seamless experience for brokers, customers, and stakeholders.
• Process invoices, policies, endorsements and cancellations in a timely manner.
• Ensure service standards are met and communications are accurate and professional.
• Collaborate with brokers and customers behind the scenes to keep processes moving.
