Job summary

MSS Security is seeking a Full Time Assistant Team Leader to join our team at a mining village site in Dysart, Queensland. This role is to assist in leading and supporting the onsite security team while ensuring safe, secure and efficient village security services.

This position operates on a 7 on 7 off roster with FIFO from Brisbane and DIDO within 600 km. Applicants must hold a current QLD Security Licence (class 1) and First Aid/ CPR, and be willing to pass a medical and drug test.

Qualifications

• Must have current QLD Security Licence (class 1) - unarmed, crowd control and monitoring.
• First Aid and CPR certification required (or willing to obtain).
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Team Leader in mentoring and supporting Village Security Officers, including site-based training and daily pre-starts.
• Coordinate security operations, resource allocation and compliance with site procedures.
• Conduct patrols, welfare checks and inspections to maintain a safe, secure village environment.
• Respond to incidents, provide first aid where required, and complete reports and documentation.
• Build positive relationships with customers and stakeholders and respond professionally to enquiries.
