Job summary

General Pants Mackay is seeking an energetic Assistant Store Manager to lead the team and bring the GP brand to life in our Mackay store. If you’re ambitious and love being on the floor, this is the next step in your retail leadership career.

You’ll support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, drive sales, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You’ll coach and develop the team, manage rosters within wage budgets, and step up when required to keep the store running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year’s experience in a retail supervisory or management role with a proven track record of delivering sales results.
• Strong commercial awareness, with experience supporting KPIs, wage budgets and store operations.
• A proven ability to coach and develop team members in a fast-paced retail environment.
• A genuine passion for delivering an exceptional, customer-first experience.

Responsibilities

• Driving the team to achieve sales targets, KPI goals and wage budgets in line with GP expectations
• Delivering an exceptional customer experience, resolving issues with empathy and care
• Supporting rostering to ensure the right coverage while staying within the store wage budget
• Leading store walkthroughs and VM execution to keep product placement commercial and on-brand
• Stepping up in the Store Manager's absence, including payroll, timecards and full store operations
• Coaching and developing the team, setting the standard for leadership and culture on the floor
