Job summary

General Pants is seeking an energetic Assistant Store Manager for our Karrinyup store in Western Australia. You will support the Store Manager in daily operations, drive performance, and lead a team to deliver a superior in-store experience.

You’ll be hands-on on the floor, coach staff, manage rostering within wage budgets, and step into higher responsibilities when required, ensuring the brand remains customer-first and on-brand across VM and operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a retail supervisory or management role with a proven track record of delivering sales results.
• Strong commercial awareness, with experience supporting KPIs, wage budgets and store operations.
• A proven ability to coach and develop team members in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive the team to achieve sales targets and wage budgets in line with GP expectations.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience, resolving issues with empathy and care.
• Support rostering to ensure the right coverage while staying within the store wage budget.
• Lead store walkthroughs and VM execution to keep product placement on brand.
• Step up in the Store Manager’s absence, including payroll and timecards.
• Coach and develop the team, setting leadership standards and culture on the floor.

About the Role

General Pants is one of Australia and New Zealand’s most iconic fashion retailers, and we’re looking for an energetic Assistant Store Manager to help lead the team and bring the GP brand to life in our Karrinyup store. As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll support the Store Manager in leading day-to-day store operations, driving performance, and delivering a strong in-store experience. You’ll play a key role in team leadership and step up into higher responsibilities when required.

What You Will Be Doing

• Driving the team to achieve sales targets, KPI goals and wage budgets in line with GP expectations
• Delivering an exceptional customer experience, resolving issues with empathy and care
• Supporting rostering to ensure the right coverage while staying within the store wage budget
• Leading store walkthroughs and VM execution to keep product placement commercial and on brand
• Stepping up in the Store Manager’s absence, including payroll, timecards and full store operations
• Coaching and developing the team, setting the standard for leadership and culture on the floor

What We’re Looking For
