Job summary

Bailey Nelson Hawthorn is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our brand-new store opening early November 2026. You’ll work closely with the Store Manager and Optometrist to ensure a seamless customer journey from eye test to frame selection and dispensing, while driving performance and team leadership.

This full-time role includes hands-on training in optical dispensing and leadership, ongoing coaching from experienced leaders, and clear opportunities for progression as we expand across

Due to exciting growth plans and recent internal promotions across the business, we’re looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our brand-new Hawthorn store opening early November 2026! We want a leader who will bring energy, passion, and a genuine love for the customer experience.

What you’ll be doing

As an ASM, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day success of the store:

• Support the Store Manager and Optometrist to deliver a seamless customer journey from eye test to frame selection and dispense
• Take ownership of the store 2 days a week, leading the team and driving performance
• Keep the appointment book running smoothly and ensure every customer interaction feels easy and enjoyable
• Coach and support your team to deliver great service, every time
