Job summary

Platypus Shoes in Ellenbrook, WA seeks an Assistant Manager to work alongside the Store Manager, driving sales, coaching a passionate casual team and delivering outstanding customer service. You’ll help create an energetic store culture in a fast-paced retail environment while developing leadership skills.

You’ll monitor performance, manage rosters, ensure visual merchandising standards and maintain stock control, all while upholding OH&S and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a senior casual or supervisor in a high-volume retail environment.
• Proven ability to lead a team and achieve sales targets.
• Hands-on leadership with coaching and training capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in driving performance and achieving KPIs.
• Motivate the team to deliver exceptional customer experience.
• Monitor store sales and identify opportunities for growth.
• Manage rosters and wage spend in line with targets.
• Coach and mentor team members and plan succession.
• Oversee stock levels, visual merchandising and shrinkage control.
• Ensure OH&S policies and state/national legislation compliance.
