Job summary

Haymes Paint Wangaratta is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead the team, deliver outstanding customer service, and apply colour knowledge to assist customers with product selection and tinting. You'll work closely with the Store Manager to drive sales, maintain store presentation, and uphold safety standards across a six-day roster from Monday to Saturday in our local Wangaratta store.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service or retail sales, with interest in progressing to a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a small team.
• Provide high level customer service and product advice.

Job description

If you are seeking a position where you can provide great customer service, work with colours, provide professional knowledge and expertise all whilst working as the stores 2IC, Haymes Paint Wangarattahas the role for you!

Haymes Paint is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join the Store network to assist in leading the team in our WangarattaStore. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the store, maximise sales opportunities through coaching and developing a team, maintaining store presentation and merchandising, and leading store safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with leading, coaching and developing a small team
• Provide high level of customer service, assisting customers with product selection and technical advice.
• Handle all paint related questions for all customers, including tinting paint products and colour matching to customer requirements
• Inventory control (Goods Receiving/Stocktaking), stock replenishment
• Act as escalation pointforcustomer inquiries
• Process POS and end of day transactions
• Assist Sales team in growing trade, industrial and retailbusiness
• Drive safety first approach in store

About you

• Previous experience working in a similar position in a customer service position in retail/sales or a keen interest in development into this position
• A genuine desire to deliver and be a leader foroutstanding service
• Point of Sale (POS) system knowledge or appropriate tech-savvy
• Effective time management and planning capability
• Resilience to handle work related pressures such as workload, pace or conflict
• Autonomy to either follow processes or make meaningful value-adding improvement

Requirements

• Current valid driver’s license
• Australian Working Rights
• Current First Aid Certificate is desirable

This position works a rotating roster across our 6-day a week trade (Monday - Saturday).
