Job summary

Pedders Suspension & Brakes is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Salisbury store in South Australia. In this full-time role you will support coordinating day-to-day workshop operations, manage trade activity, and deliver high-quality customer experiences while helping the store meet targets.

You will lead a small team, schedule the workshop, plan parts supply, monitor work quality and drive a positive customer-centric culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive roles and leading people.
• Willingness to work with diverse vehicle makes and models.
• Full driver's licence with manual transmission.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Store Manager and manage the store in their absence.
• Support the management of the daily workshop schedule and maintain an on-time customer delivery.
• Plan and coordinate parts supply and delivery to the workshop workflow.
• Monitor the quality of work performed in the workshop.
• Perform vehicle repairs in the workshop.

We have an exciting opportunity to join an established store and are on the lookout for an Assistant Store Manager to join our Salisbury location.

In this full-time role you will support coordinating the day-to-day technical operations of the store workshop and trade activity to deliver high quality customer experiences and to meet store targets. This opportunity will allow you to take the next step in your career, building your management skills whilst working with quality people and products.

What You Bring To The Team

• Previous experience in any of these positions: Automotive Parts Installer, Mechanic, Automotive Technician, Brake Mechanic, Automotive Service Technician, Mechanical installer (with basic wheel alignment preferred)
• Experience in leading or managing people and fostering a positive culture.
• Evidence of working across different vehicle makes and models
• Full drivers’ licence with an ability to drive manual
• A team player who has strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail
• Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (preferred)
