Job summary

Fossil Australia is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Melbourne Central store to support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, sales leadership and team development.

You will supervise and coach the store team, drive exceptional customer service, manage inventory, cash handling and loss prevention, and ensure compliance with policies while delivering a consistent, brand-aligned shopper experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail management or supervisory experience.
• Australian work rights required for this position.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent customer service orientation and sales mindset.
• Proficient in inventory management, cash handling and loss prevention procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with retail industry trends and best practices.
• Ability to commit to a Sunday to Thursday schedule, with evening availability.

Job description

As Assistant Store Manager for Fossil, you will play a vital role in supporting the operations and success of our Melbourne Central retail store. This full time position will see you assisting the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of the store's day to day management, from leading and developing the store team to maximising sales and ensuring exceptional customer service.

What you'll be doing

Collaborating with the Store Manager to develop and implement strategic plans for the store

Supervising and motivating the store team, providing coaching, training and performance feedback

Overseeing store operations, including inventory management, cash handling and loss prevention

Delivering an exceptional customer experience and driving sales through effective merchandising and product knowledge

Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant legislation

Supporting the Store Manager in driving continuous improvement and identifying growth opportunities

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience in a retail management or supervisory role

Australian work rights are required for this position

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Excellent customer service orientation and sales driven mindset

Proficient in inventory management, cash handling and loss prevention procedures

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
