Job summary

Brighton Homes is seeking a Site Manager-in-wurthering role within the Brighton Projects Construction team, based in Toowoomba, to support the Site Manager in delivering retirement village homes from start to finish.

You will coordinate contractors, manage safety, resources and schedules to meet drawings and contracts, ensuring quality and timely delivery while upholding company processes.

Qualifications

• A Building Trade Certificate or willing to complete Cert IV Building and Construction.
• Ability to coordinate multiple service providers and suppliers to complete homes expediently.
• General knowledge of the basic methods, practices, tools, materials, and work standards related to the building of residential homes.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Manager in project managing construction from start to finish.
• Manage the program for flow of construction for a lifestyle retirement village based in Toowoomba.
• Maintain safety-first approach on site with up to 100 contractors.
• Allocate materials and trades to job sites for timely construction.
• Ensure homes are built per contract and approved drawings.
• Inspect completed work for quality workmanship.
• Ensure on-time delivery within budget.
• Ensure construction adheres to safety processes and WHS legislation.
• Liaise with customers and council to provide excellent service.
• Document and process necessary paperwork during building.

About the opportunity:

Reporting to the Site Manager and part of the Brighton Projects Construction team, the key focus of this role is to assist the Site Manager in project managing the construction process from start to finish, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with the contract and Council approvals.

More specifically, you will support the Site Manager with:

• Managing the program for flow of construction for a lifestyle retirement village based in Toowoomba
• Managing a safety-first approach on site with up to 100 contractorsThe allocation of materials and trades to job sites to ensure timely construction of the project
• Ensuring that homes are built in accordance with contractual arrangements and approved drawings
• Inspecting completed work to ensure high standard of quality workmanship
• Ensuring that homes are completed on time and within the allocated budget
• Ensuring construction is carried out safely and in accordance with company processes and systems
• Ensuring Trades understand and are complying with the company Safety Management System and the WH&S legislation and internal operating systems
• Liaising with customers and council, as required to provide an unbeatable customer service
• Ensuring that the required documentation and paperwork is completed during the building process
