Job summary

Scope is hiring an Assistant Shop Manager for its Camberwell shop in London. You will work with the Shop Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, drive sales, manage stock, and motivate a diverse team of staff and volunteers.

We value customer service, teamwork, and proactive community engagement. The role is permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week, with DBS checks and a focus on equality and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role with supervisory/responsibility for a team.
• Experience in a target-driven environment with sales or performance goals.
• Experience working in a fast paced environment.
• Strong work ethic and being a team player.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• IT literacy and numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of shop operations.
• Support, motivate, and involve a diverse team of paid staff and volunteers.
• Actively promote Scope and its services in the community.
• Drive sales and manage stock, including online selling and item listing.
• Help the team deliver excellent customer service.
• Deputise for the shop manager in their absence.
