Job summary

Amida Group in Perth is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join a growing fit-out and refurb design-and-build contractor. You will support the Project Manager to deliver high‑quality construction projects from design through handover, ensuring drawings, specs and timelines are met.

With a pipeline of projects from $1m to $10m+, you will gain exposure across sectors, develop your delivery capability, and progress within a collaborative, fast‑tracking company culture.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or similar.
• Minimum 2 years' experience supporting delivery of projects with a fit-out contractor or builder.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in negotiating and letting subcontracts against budget.
• Support the project team throughout the tender process and the delivery of the project.
• Contribute to the development of construction methodologies that win tenders.
• Help develop and maintain project programs and communicate updates to the team.
• Help identify and manage construction risk across projects, escalating issues when required.
• Assist in tracking project expenditure and cashflow.
• Support the development of project completion plans.
• Assist with defect identification and rectification.
• Learn from and work closely with senior project staff to develop your own delivery capability.
