Job summary

St Peter's Primary School, Port Macquarie, is seeking an Assistant Principal – Learning & Teaching to provide co-responsible leadership in strengthening Catholic identity and improving learning outcomes. This full-time permanent position reports to school leadership and works with staff to implement curriculum, pedagogy and wellbeing initiatives in a faith-filled learning community.

Qualifications

Masters level in Educational Leadership or equivalent, or willingness to obtain.
Broad experience in curriculum, pedagogy and leading collaborative cultures.
Ability to integrate Catholic beliefs and practices including Catholic Social Teaching.
Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience leading initiatives to improve learning, engagement and wellbeing.
Experience coaching, mentoring and staff development.
Ability to lead processes to improve student performance.
Ability to create inclusive, supportive and safe learning environments.

Responsibilities

Lead ongoing creation of parish school as center of Catholic identity in learning and teaching.
Support improvements in curriculum and pedagogy across year levels.
Collaborate with staff, families and parish to ensure best educational outcomes.
Drive wellbeing and engagement initiatives to support all students.
