Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School Miranda NSW is seeking an Assistant Principal to lead teaching and learning across the K-6 spectrum. The role focuses on building a high-performing culture, staff development, and strong partnerships with families and the parish.

You will foster faith-filled leadership while driving academic excellence and student wellbeing, supported by professional learning and clear pathways for leadership development.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate or Master’s in Leadership, Religion, Theology, or Education.
• Ability to drive a high-performance, improvement-focused school culture.
• Lead with Gospel values and contribute to the Church’s mission.
• Experience overseeing staff induction, development, and performance.
• Promotes religious leadership and parish partnerships.
• Exemplary classroom practitioner with ability to model and lead effective teaching and learning strategies.
• Strengthen school and system-wide networks.
• Meet Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach and Lead requirements in first contract term.
• Experience leading Positive Behaviours for Learning.
• Experience in data-informed instructional coaching to drive improvement.
• Experience differentiating teaching to meet diverse learners, with knowledge of NCCD requirements.
• Desirable: gifted education and EALD qualifications.
