Job summary

St Mary MacKillop College in Canberra seeks an Assistant Principal Faith, Teaching and Learning to provide strategic leadership across faith, teaching and learning, inclusive education and professional development.

Working with the College Executive, the role leads whole-school priorities, strengthens pedagogy, staff capability and student outcomes, and drives inclusive education and digital learning initiatives in alignment with the College’s strategic plan and Archdiocesan priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching.
• WWVP clearance.
• TQI registration.
• Postgraduate qualification in Religious Education or Theological Studies.
• Academic qualifications additional to Initial Teacher Education (Master’s Degree or five-year equivalent).
• Practicing Catholic connected to a parish or worshipping community.
• Provide a reference from a current Parish Priest.

About the Role

The Assistant Principal Faith, Teaching and Learning is a senior leadership position responsible for providing strategic leadership across faith, teaching and learning, inclusive education and professional development. Working in close partnership with other members of the College Executive, the role leads whole-school teaching and learning priorities aligned with the College Strategic Plan, Annual Improvement Plan and Archdiocesan priorities, while strengthening pedagogical practices, staff capability and student outcomes. The Assistant Principal Faith, Teaching and Learning alsoleads inclusive education digital learning and innovation, and leads initiatives that promote a culture of continuous improvement along with the Vision and Josephite charism of St Mary MacKillop College.
