Job summary

St Brigid's Catholic Primary School Emerald invites applications for the Assistant Principal: Curriculum to lead teaching and learning, shape curriculum directions, and work with the Principal and leadership team from 18 January 2027.

The successful candidate will be deeply committed to Catholic education, contribute to parish faith life, and bring strong teaching experience, qualifications, and leadership qualities in a rural Queensland setting with a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration.
  • Demonstrated leadership in teaching, curriculum development and school improvement.
  • Experience in Catholic education and active parish participation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement high quality teaching and learning programs within the curriculum area.
  • Influence long and short-term goals and directions in teaching, learning and curriculum.
  • Provide leadership in areas delegated by the Principal in the APC duty statement.
  • Collaborate with staff, parish and community to support school improvement.

Employment Status: Full-Time (5 year Contract)

Salary: $149,764 - $157,118 (pending experience) + 12.75% superannuation

What We Are Looking For

Applications are invited for the position of Assistant Principal: Curriculum (APC) to join the leadership team at St Brigid's Catholic Primary School, Emerald, commencing from 18 January 2027.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for applicants demonstrating deep commitment to Catholic education, who actively participate in the faith life of their parish, and who have strong teaching experience, academic qualifications and leadership qualities.

As a member of the school’s leadership team, the Assistant Principal: Curriculum (APC) will influence and have responsibility for long and short-term goals and directions in teaching, learning and curriculum. Additionally, the APC provides leadership in areas delegated by the Principal in the APC duty statement.
