Job summary

The Honeysuckle Hotel in Newcastle Harbour is seeking an Assistant Manager to help keep the venue buzzing with exceptional hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. Base salary from $80,000 AUD plus Super plus a Bonus Scheme and group-wide discounts.

Lead a team, support the Publican, and ensure safe, smooth operations while delivering memorable guest experiences. RSA/RCG/ARCG are required and the role involves hands-on duties and physical tasks.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hospitality leadership experience.
• Ability to lead a team and deliver guest-focused service.
• Confidence to act as face of the pub when leadership is away.

Responsibilities

• Get to know locals and build rapport with guests and team.
• Support the Publican to run the pub safely, smoothly and with energy.
• Learn the ropes of publican duties while leading a team of staff.
• Handle hiccups promptly to maintain a great vibe.
• Bring energy, service and smiles on every shift.
