Job summary

The Honeysuckle Hotel, part of the Endeavour Group, is seeking an Assistant Manager to help run our lively Newcastle Harbour venue. You will support the Publican, lead a team and ensure smooth operations with a great vibe across shifts.

We offer a base salary from AUD 80,000 plus super, plus a bonus scheme and group-wide discounts. Applicants should be ready for hands-on work and physical tasks as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Current RSA certification required.
• Current RCG and ARCG as per state requirements.
• Experience supervising staff in hospitality environment.
• Hands-on role with ability to perform physical tasks (lifting/moving stock).

Responsibilities

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift
