Job summary

Endeavour Group is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Townsville area to lead a busy hospitality floor. You’ll supervise a floor-wide team across the bar, bistro and gaming areas, ensuring safety, great vibes and high service standards during peak periods.

You’ll bring hands-on leadership, prior supervisory experience, and necessary RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence. Build local relationships and be the face of the pub when leadership is away.

Whether it's a packed weekend crowd watching the footy, a bustling family dinner rush in the bistro, or managing premium gaming operations, our sites require leaders who love being right at the center of a high-energy trade. We need someone with sharp operational instincts who can maintain elite standards and ensure our diverse mix of local regulars and visitors receive gold-class hospitality on every shift.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you're part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You've been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You've learned from great managers and now you're ready to step up
• You've got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You have a current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements
