Job summary

Rainbow Beach Hotel in Queensland is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead front-of-house operations with energy and a focus on guest satisfaction. The role involves coordinating a high-volume service, coordinating front-of-house teams, and maintaining peak standards during all shifts.

You will work closely with the Publican, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with RSA/RSG, RMLV, and Approved Manager requirements while delivering gold-class hospitality to locals and visitors alike.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a hospitality team in a fast-paced bar, bistro or gaming room.
• Track record of delivering high levels of guest service and operational standards.
• RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Manager Licenses as per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Know locals and be a visible leader on shift.
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe.
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of hospitality staff.
• Address issues before they become problems to maintain smooth service.

Are you a hospitality professional ready to run the floor at one of the most famous, high-volume beachside venues on the Fraser Coast? The Rainbow Beach Hotel is looking for a driven, floor-focused Assistant Manager who loves the energy of a fast-paced coastal trade and knows how to keep a crew moving in perfect sync.

"The Rainbow" is a buzzing coastal powerhouse. Whether it's managing a packed holiday crowd enjoying a post-beach lunch on the deck, running a high-tempo sports bar, or overseeing our gaming and accommodation operations, this venue demands a leader who loves being right at the center of the action. We need someone with sharp operational instincts who can maintain elite standards and ensure our mix of local regulars and traveling adventurers receive gold-class hospitality on every shift.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements
