Rainbow Beach Hotel, part of ALH Hotels, seeks an Assistant Manager to lead frontline service on a fast-paced coastal floor. You will oversee the team, drive guest satisfaction, and ensure operations run smoothly from service to safety.

A proven hospitality background and a proactive leadership style are essential for this busy venue. You’ll bring an RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Manager licence as required, manage shifts, and uphold gold-class hospitality for locals and travelers alike.

Qualifications

• Hands-on role requiring physical tasks including lifting and moving stock/beer kegs.
• Current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements.
• Experience supervising bar, bistro or gaming floor teams is preferred.
• Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced coastal venue.

Responsibilities

• Run the floor and maintain high-volume service with energy and pace.
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely and with a great vibe.
• Lead a team of hospo staff and supervise daily operations.
• Handle hiccups before they become headaches to customers and staff.
• Maintain elite standards of hospitality on every shift.

Are you a hospitality professional ready to run the floor at one of the most famous, high-volume beachside venues on the Fraser Coast? The Rainbow Beach Hotel is looking for a driven, floor-focused Assistant Manager who loves the energy of a fast-paced coastal trade and knows how to keep a crew moving in perfect sync.

"The Rainbow" is a buzzing coastal powerhouse. Whether it's managing a packed holiday crowd enjoying a post-beach lunch on the deck, running a high-tempo sports bar, or overseeing our gaming and accommodation operations, this venue demands a leader who loves being right at the center of the action. We need someone with sharp operational instincts who can maintain elite standards and ensure our mix of local regulars and traveling adventurers receive gold-class hospitality on every shift.

A Day In The Life Of An Assistant Manager

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent Requirements

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About You

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements
