Job summary

ALH Hotels is seeking an Assistant Manager to help keep our venues buzzing and loved by locals. You will work hands-on, supervise a team, and support the Publican to run the pub smoothly with safety and a vibrant atmosphere.

You will bring RSA and RSG/RCG where required, lead by example, and handle everyday challenges while delivering great service and energy on every shift. This role is based in our Queensland venues and involves some physical tasks.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hospitality management experience.
• RSA and RSG/RCG as per state requirements.
• Ability to perform physical tasks safely.
• Experience supervising in bar, bistro, or gaming room.

Responsibilities

• Get to know the locals and build rapport as part of the crew.
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely and with a great vibe.
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of hospitality staff.
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches.

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA and RSG/RCG as per state requirements
