Job summary

Modoras is seeking an Assistant Manager in Sydney to lead client portfolios and drive operational efficiency. You will blend technical accounting expertise with people leadership to support growth and service quality across a diverse SME client base.

This role offers collaboration with onshore and offshore teams, opportunities for mentoring and career progression within a supportive leadership team and a modern tech-enabled firm culture.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Australian public practice accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax and compliance.
• CA or CPA qualification (or nearing completion).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workflow across assigned client portfolios.
• Review financial statements, tax returns, BAS and supporting workpapers.
• Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Support coaching, development and capability uplift of team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity and service delivery.
• Assist with resource planning, capacity management and workflow forecasting.
• Contribute to a culture of accountability, collaboration and service excellence
