Job summary

Pitcher Partners is seeking an Assistant Manager in the Private Business & Family Advisory team in Australia. You will manage a client portfolio, providing comprehensive accounting and advisory services across taxation, reporting and planning, while coaching junior staff.

As a step-up role, you will lead client relationships, review work, and contribute to bids and growth through external networks. Offices across Australia support flexible arrangements and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified CA or CPA with 4+ years in a professional services role.
• Ability to prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for complex entities.
• Provide tax planning recommendations and identify tax-saving opportunities for clients.
• Strong written and verbal communication to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Xero, Now Infinity, Practice Ignition or Greatsoft.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients as their primary point of contact, delivering tailored accounting and advisory services.
• Prepare and review financial statements, activity statements and tax returns for all entity types and individuals.
• Identify and manage tax issues and provide tax planning advice for clients.
• Oversee workflow among junior team members and coach/develop staff.
• Contribute to bids and proposals and build external networks for future pipelines.
• Stay current with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards.
