Job summary

KPMG Australia’s Business & Tax Advisory team seeks an Assistant Manager to deliver high-quality tax compliance and advisory services for private businesses, startups and family groups. You will work with Managers, Directors and Partners on engagements, review junior staff work and help develop the practice.

The role requires strong knowledge of Australian tax law, excellent communication, and the ability to balance compliance with strategic advisory work while building enduring client

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Australian taxation legislation and compliance.
• Experience delivering tax compliance and advisory services.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and review junior work.
• Familiarity with private businesses, family groups and entrepreneurial clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns and financial statements for various entities.
• Prepare BAS and other compliance obligations.
• Deliver tax advice across client matters.
• Support with Division 7A and trust-distribution planning.
• Advise on structures including companies, trusts, partnerships.
• Provide business advisory support to diverse clients.
