Job summary

ALH Hotels is seeking an Assistant Manager for Hyde Park to lead and support our pub team, ensuring smooth operations and a vibrant guest experience. You’ll work closely with the Publican, supervise shifts, and help maintain safety and quality during service.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising teams in hospitality is desirable.
• Must hold an RSA and an Approved Managers Card as per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the pub operations alongside the Publican.

• Oversee safety, compliance and handling of hiccups during busy periods.
• Assist in training and developing team members to deliver excellent guest experiences.

• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent Requirements

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About You

• You’ve been around the bar and bistro room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA and Approved Managers Card as per state requirements
