Job summary

ALH Hotels is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Fairfield Area to lead a hospitality team, maintain smooth operations, and deliver outstanding guest experiences. You’ll work closely with the Publican to ensure safety, energy, and a welcoming atmosphere across shifts.

You should bring prior supervisory experience in bar or dining environments, strong people skills, and current RSA/RCG/ARCG certifications as required by state regulations.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Handle issues and hiccups promptly to prevent escalation.
• Represent the pub positively when the boss is away.

About The Role

Assistant Manager | Fairfield Area

Base Salary $80,000 + Super + Bonus scheme + Group wide discounts

We’re on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Fairfield Area buzzing and loved by the locals.

A Day In The Life Of An Assistant Manager

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent Requirements

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About You

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA, RCG and ARCG as per state requirements
