Job summary

Endeavour Group Careers is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Crows Nest Hotel in NSW. The role offers a base salary from AU$80,000 plus Super, a bonus scheme, and access to group-wide discounts.

The successful candidate will help keep the venue buzzing, ensure safety, and deliver a high standard of hospitality. With RSA and RSG/RCG certifications in place, you’ll lead a team, engage with locals, and uphold the pub’s strong service culture.

Qualifications

• Has RSA certification and state requirements (RSG/RCG).
• Experience supervising in bar, bistro or gaming room environments.
• Strong people skills, confidence and leadership presence.

Responsibilities

• Get to know locals and build relationships as part of the crew.
• Support the Publican to run the pub smoothly, safely and with a great vibe.
• Lead a team of hospitality staff and learn the ropes of being a Publican.
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches and maintain energy and smiles on every shift.
• Represent the pub positively when the boss is away.

We're on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Crows Nest Hotel buzzing and loved by the locals.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you're part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands‑on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You've been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You've learned from great managers and now you're ready to step up
• You've got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You've got a current RSA and RSG/RCG as per state requirements
